Where Ramadan Meets Italian Soul: Novecento Launches Its Iftar Experience In DSO

Novecento Dubai, the contemporary Italian destination at Dubai Silicon Oasis, launches its Ramadan Iftar Menu for the holy month. The menu brings together traditional Ramadan elements and Italian favourites, prepared with Novecento’s contemporary Italian approach. 

The Iftar begins with classic accompaniments, including dates served with Datteri e Aryan, a salted Turkish yogurt drink, and a Bread Basket featuring homemade focaccia, rustic bread, carasau bread, and mixed taralli. 

Starters include Zuppa di Lenticchie, a creamy red lentil soup with potato, carrot, and croutons, Burrata e Pomodorini with fresh burrata cheese, heritage cherry tomatoes, semi-dried tomato pesto, and basil, Ricottina Miele e Noci with ricotta cheese, rocket leaves, honey, and walnuts, as well as Pizza Diavolatopped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and spicy beef salami. 

Main course options feature Italian classics such as Penne alla Novecento, prepared with a creamy spicy tomato sauce, garlic, chilli, and parsley, Pollo Arrosto with grilled chicken breast and mixed mushroom fricassee, andPatate al Forno, roasted with rosemary and sage. 

To conclude the Iftar experience, guests can enjoy traditional Italian desserts, including the Tiramisù Classico with espresso-soaked ladyfingers layered with mascarpone cream and cacao powder, or Cannoli Siciliani filled with sweet ricotta, candied orange, and pistachio. 

Traditional and signature beverages, including Karkade, fresh juices, Americano, and a tea selection, are available to complement the Iftar experience. 

Rooted in Italian technique and quality ingredients, Novecento’s Ramadan Iftar menu delivers familiar, comforting flavours in a setting that feels both relaxed and considered at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

On Thursday 29 January, The Editor’s Table will host an intimate 8-seater wine-pairing dinner in collaboration with Slab Cocina. Slab Cocina explores bold flavours inspired by traditional dishes, from Peruvian ceviche to Mexican tacos, while incorporating seasonal ingredients and subtle Middle Eastern influences.

Each course will be expertly paired with eight curated wine tastings, with a welcome drink served on arrival. Throughout the evening, guests will be guided by knowledgeable sommeliers, creating an immersive and interactive dining experience. 

Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for the best wine pairing for each dish, with one sommelier ultimately crowned the winner. The Editor’s Table continues to spotlight a rotating lineup of chefs and wine experts, ensuring each event delivers a fresh and distinctive dining experience.
