Hussein El Ezaby’s Vibrant Paintings Come To COYA Dubai

Coya Dubai will open its 2019 art season with a showcase of unique conceptual works entitled ‘Beyond: A Myth of Light and Dark’ by veteran architect and artist Dr. Hussein El Ezaby, from January 21.

El Ezaby’s vibrant, instinctive collection of glow in the dark works is inspired by an interplay between art and drama. It was El Ezaby’s background in theatre design that first encouraged him to explore the relationship between light and colour. Today, El Ezaby combines his skills to create paintings that interact with light in interesting and energetic ways.

Home-Grown Levantine Restaurant To Open In Dubai

Zefki an authentic, traditional, Levantine restaurant is set to open in Dubai in February. The restaurant is currently under construction on the mezzanine floor of Number One Tower Suites, Sheikh Zayed Road.
Originating from the Turkish word ‘zevki’, which means ‘pleasure’, the restaurant will play host to a menu adorned by classic, homely and beloved favourites hailing from countries including Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and the UAE. The restaurant will house eastern Mediterranean inspired décor and tableware, harmoniously intertwined with a relaxed and charming ambience.
Traditional dishes with a modern flair will take centerstage on Zefki’s menu with an eclectic selection including kabsa, Turkish pides and kebabs. Zefki will also serve a memorable visual and taste experience with Turkish coffee made on sand.
