HANU Unveils Table 222, A Collaboration Shaped By Craft, Culture And Community

This May, HANU introduces Table 222, a one night only dining experience that brings together three distinct culinary voices in a celebration of craft, connection and shared creativity. Taking place on Monday, 18th May from 6 PM onwards, the experience sees Chef Kyung Soo Moon welcome Chef Dan Birk and Chef Robin Höfer for an intimate collaboration that unfolds across a thoughtfully curated four course menu, priced at AED 222 per person.

Rooted in the spirit of community that continues to define the UAE’s evolving dining landscape, Table 222 is designed as a seamless culinary dialogue. Each chef contributes their individual perspective while working in harmony to create a menu that feels cohesive, refined and expressive. At its core, the experience reflects HANU’s philosophy of precision, balance and deep respect for ingredients, with subtle Korean influences woven throughout.

The evening begins with a starter by Chef Robin Höfer of Kraken, presenting cobia sashimi layered with coconut, sea buckthorn and leche de tigre, offering a bright and nuanced introduction. Chef Dan Birk follows with a composed middle course of koji cured scallop, enriched with miso, scallop roe XO and a tantanmen inspired sauce, bringing depth and umami to the progression.

At the heart of the menu, HANU showcases its defining ingredient with HoengseongHanwoo 1++ beef, paired with lamb chop galbi, accompanied by banchan and a rich beef jus. This course reflects Chef Moon’s dedication to Korean culinary heritage, placing one of the world’s most prized beef varieties at the centre of the experience.

Dessert presents a refined composition of apple and bergamot orange, where caramelised apple is enveloped in meringue and lifted with a bergamot sorbet, before concluding with petit fours created collaboratively between HANU and Kraken.

Recently recognised as Time Out Dubai’s Best Korean Restaurant and awarded two toques by Gault&Millau UAE Gala 2026, HANU continues to cement its position among the city’s most compelling dining destinations, further distinguished by its ranking at No. 28 on The World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list, where it also stands as the No. 1 steak restaurant in the Middle East.
