Dubai, Get Ready To Roar: Tora Tora Brings Bold Ramen To The New First Avenue Mall, Jumeirah 2

A bold new ramen destination is preparing to arrive in Jumeirah. Tora Tora, a modern Japanese ramen house inspired by the flavour, movement and energy of Japanese street culture, is set to open at Dubai’s new First Avenue Mall Jumeirah later this year.

Designed as more than a place to simply grab a bowl, Tora Tora will bring together authentic Japanese-inspired flavours, energetic interiors and a lively social atmosphere. At the heart of the experience will be freshly prepared ramen, created using carefully developed recipes and quality ingredients.

Guests can expect a menu centred around comforting bowls of ramen, complemented by Japanese street-food favourites, small plates and playful drinks and desserts. While the full menu remains under wraps, Tora Tora is preparing an experience that feels approachable, generous and full of character.

The name Tora Tora, meaning “tiger” in Japanese, reflects the strength and confidence behind the concept. That spirit will be felt throughout the restaurant, from its visual identity to the energy surrounding the kitchen and dining room.

Designed by Australian design studio mckimm, the interiors have been conceived as an extension of the Tora Tora identity, with each element serving a purpose both functionally and aesthetically. Inspired by the shape of the Tora Tora brandmark, the floor plan is centred around an interactive kitchen that forms the heart of the restaurant, bringing guests closer to the preparation and craftsmanship behind each bowl. Traditional Japanese references are brought together with contemporary design sensibilities and bespoke details, creating a space that connects the food, the guests and the story of Tora Tora.

Created for quick lunches, casual dinners and lively gatherings with friends, Tora Tora will offer a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy authentic Japanese-inspired flavours without formality. With a strong sense of atmosphere and character throughout, the restaurant is set to become a destination guests return to not only for the ramen, but for the full experience surrounding it.

Tora Tora will operate entirely on a walk-in basis, with no reservations required. The approach reflects the spontaneous spirit of the concept, allowing guests to drop in whenever the craving strikes and experience the restaurant at their own pace.

“Our vision for Tora Tora is to create a ramen destination that celebrates authentic flavours, careful craftsmanship and the vibrant energy of Japanese street culture. From the broths and noodles to the overall atmosphere, every detail is being thoughtfully developed to offer guests an experience that feels welcoming, exciting and full of character. We look forward to opening our doors in Jumeirah and introducing the community to Tora Tora” said Hironori Gouda, Consultant Chef at Tora Tora.

Further details on the menu and official opening date will be revealed soon.

Dubai, the roar is getting closer.
