The World Cup is expected to bring in 1.5 million visitors that the new metro will help to serve.

Other than these new hotels and metro lines, Qatar has undertaken the construction of 7 new stadiums slated for hosting the event, and the under-construction Lusail Stadium is going to be the biggest among all. Lusail is a brand new city built for the World Cup, with marinas, hotels, golf courses, entertainment centres, and a few resorts to spice things up.
