The first fine-dining vegetarian restaurant has opened its doors in Dubai, taking Trèsind Studio’s former spot in the Voco Hotel. An intimate venue with only 24 seats, the degustation experience sees guests being served beautifully plated dishes crafted straight from chef Rahul Rana’s mind. With an emphasis on ‘clean, pure and energy-containing ingredients’, the light meals have been designed to leave you feeling good.

Dubai’s much-loved Al Safadi restaurant has reopened its branch on Sheikh Zayed Road in DIFC. Refurbished to accommodate 360 hungry diners under Al Safadi’s new brand image, the 22-year-old restaurant chain still promises its “homemade” experience, with delicious Lebanese food made from the freshest produce and only the most authentic spices and herbs from the Levant. A new nightlife and dining experience is coming to the city. Directed by the Middle East’s own showman, Lebanese-Armenian musician, composer and pianist, Guy Manoukian, comes The Theater Dubai. A new venue that is home to an entertaining experience with a lineup of dynamic shows as well as fine dining. Each production at The Theater is performed by a lineup of international artists flown in specially for the performance. These include vocalists and aerial dancers flown in from Vegas. The Theater features an international menu with a mix of bold flavours. Begin the evening with a selection of Beluga and Oscietra Caviar, along with a warm selection of Chef’s special Beef Gyoza served with smoked onion purée. Seafood lovers can try the Lobster Linguini –poached lobster cooked in lobster stock, while the meat lovers can indulge in the signature slow-cooked Wagyu Tomahawk with shaved truffle. Guests can also explore the multiple bars across the venue, including a special retro-style speakeasy and more.

Tub of Butter, a home-grown casual all-day eatery, has opened on Sheikh Zayed Road, next to the Metropolitan Hotel, in Dubai. The venue’s counters are filled with pastries, desserts, Italian cold cuts, olives, jams and an array of Mediterranean cheeses. Rotisserie chickens are served up daily and pizzas are baked in a Mediterranean-style oven. Breakfast, served from 7am to 11.30am on weekdays and until 2.30pm on weekends, offers bites such as eggs benedict and crushed avocados with chilli chia seeds and lime on toasted sourdough bread, while the list of pizzas on offer includes a crispy smoked turkey pizza with Kalamata olives, passata, mozzarella, artichokes and ruccola.
